COMPANY
HISTORY:
Ballard & Braughton Engineering,
PLLC was founded in 2003 by Brian Ballard,
PE and Kevin Braughton, ASLA in an effort
to provide outstanding civil engineering
and landscape architecture to local,
regional, and national clients. With
our combination of services, we bring
an environmentally conscious approach
to all of our projects while focusing
on cost effectiveness and constructability.
Our clientele range from local commercial
and residential developers to national
Fortune 500 companies and everything
in between. Because we are a smaller
firm, we apply a team approach to each
project to ensure excellent communication
and customer service. This method has
helped us create longstanding and trusted
relationships with our clients.
PRINCIPAL STAFF:
Brian Ballard, PE
Brian received his Bachelor’s
degree in civil engineering from Texas
A&M University. He is a professional
engineer licensed in Texas, Arkansas,
Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico,
North Carolina, South Carolina, Oklahoma,
and Montana. His project experience
includes over 12 years of work on state
and county roadway design, municipal
infrastructure design, commercial site
development, residential site development,
and expert witness services. Brian was
named the 2006 Young Engineer of the
Year by the East Texas Chapter of the
Texas Society of Professional Engineers.
Brian resides in Tyler, Texas, with
his wife Liz and their daughter, Brynn
Eve. He and his family are members of
Marvin United Methodist Church. Outside
of the office, Brian enjoys golf and
spending time with his family and friends.
Kevin Braughton, ASLA
Kevin received his Bachelor’s
degree in landscape architecture from
the University of Arkansas. He is a
landscape architect licensed in Texas
and Louisiana. His project experience
includes over 15 years of work on residential
site development, commercial site development,
commercial landscape design, and irrigation
design.
Kevin resides in Tyler, Texas, with
his wife Melanie and their children,
Blakely, Kristin, and Collin. He and
his family are members of Green Acres
Baptist Church. Kevin was a member of
the 2008 Texas Rose Festival Officials
and served on the Texas Rose Parade
committee for seven years. His hobbies
include golfing, fishing, hunting, and
spending time with his family and friends.
Darrel Kotzur, P.E.
Darrel received his Bachelor’s
degree in civil engineering from Texas
A&M University. He is licensed in
Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico,
and Arkansas. His project experience
includes over 16 years of work on commercial
site development, residential site development,
and various structural projects.
Darrel resides in Bullard, Texas, with
his wife Lori, daughter, Ashley, and
son, Travis. He and his family attend
Bullard Southern Baptist Church. Darrel
enjoys fishing, running, golf, and spending
time with his family and friends. |
